The author, Damiani Wine Cellars’ tasting room manager, and certified sommelier, Michael A. Cimino has helmed the tasting room at Damiani Wine Cellars for the past six years. He is an award winning restaurant and wine consultant, having designed wine lists for establishments in the metropolitan area, including the prestigious Relais & Chateau property Glenmere Mansion (Wine Spectator Award of Excellence), The Park Steakhouse (Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, Wine Enthusiast Award of Distinction), and The Lighthouse on the Hudson (Wine Enthusiast Award of Distinction). He is a former employee of Iron Chef winner Peter X. Kelly of the Xaviar’s Restaurant Group, and a certified sommelier with the Sommelier Society of America.
